Ulster University is launching a Future Technology Leaders programme in healthcare innovation, following feedback from the Digital Healthcare Technology event on 8 September. Led by Dr Rashid Kamal, the initiative will focus on Secure AI in Health: Challenges, Threats, & Practical Defences and invite a cohort of emerging academic, business, and clinical/civic leaders to participate in 12 quarterly “sandpit” workshops. Each session will tackle real-world healthcare challenges, feature practical technology demonstrations, and connect participants with experts, policymakers, and local stakeholders. Places are limited to ensure a collaborative learning environment, with selection based on potential to drive impact in Belfast and beyond.
